Quote of the Day

In our age there is no such thing as 'keeping out of politics.' All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia.-- George Orwell

“I would rather be a swineherd at Amagerbro and be understood by the swine than be a poet and be misunderstood by people.” ― Søren Kierkegaard, Either/Or: A Fragment of Life

Was it Rigged?

(The phantom take down of Fred)

Think of the biggest flopper in the NBA, the all-time greatest at his craft.

Kobe?  LeBron?  Some forgotten defensive "specialist?"

Well, the Brazilian Fred is better then any of them.

Japanese ref Yuichi Nishimura bought it wholesale, and Croatia's coach Niko Kovac is as righteously angry as any World Cup protester alienated by the economy of this extravaganza.

Let the animosity in the "peaceful games" begin.  Where would the world be without such great sportsmanship?
