To the Point

There comes a time in every epoch when pragmatism simply evolves into extreme acquiescence and surrender to the forces of apathy and do-nothingness, a guarantor of the status quo in all of its easy, democratic criminality--its fortress of greed. Blazers win in Cleveland, 119-116.

Damian Lillard couldn't defend Kyrie Irving in a point-guard duel, but the Blazers' sophomore star hit his second game-winner in a row at the buzzer to lead Portland to victory.

Portland is 22-4 and turning heads, including mine.
