My copy of David Talbot's "The Devil's Chessboard: Allen Dulles, the CIA, and the Rise of America's Secret Government" (2015) finally cleared the queue of readers at the library.
I'll start it tonight, not with the expectation of discovering very much new, but with the pleasure of reading a master journalist's detailed account of Dulles's role in turning the CIA into the force of darkness that it remains today.
