A fascinating report by Patrick Cockburn on Baghdad today.

Cockburn was one of the best reporters on the scene during the American/British invasion and Iraq's subsequent sectarian war.  He remains one of the few reporters interested in what has recently transpired in Iraq.

The corporate media have moved on to Beyonce and beyond.

A lot has been written about the U.S. involvement in Iraq, but a deep history of it will not emerge for years.  Somehow I get the feeling that history will not be kind.
