O Warriors!
what a sad ugly truth
that our government has sent
soldiers to die in vain
we don't admit it
because our wars
cannot be avoided
we don't admit it
because our wars
are always righteous
our soldiers are heroes
our soldiers are patriotic
our soldiers follow orders
the prior war is forgotten
by the time it's revealed
to be based on lies
and a great wind
of waving flags celebrates
the new and righteous war
which in turn will be forgotten
but not all the dead soldiers
who surely did not die
in vain
